Home Decor

I just completed a home decor project, using a mirror.  I really like and I'm excited to share with you, however, my digital camera is in the fix it shop...for possibly the next 3 weeks!  YIKES!

I will say, the project was really easy to do and fun!  By putting it on a mirrror I know that when I move again, in about 4 months, I get to take it with us and continue to enjoy it.

November is just around the corner, I have some great thanksgiving projects to share with you, again once I get my camera back, and great Stampin' Up! deals.  Check back soon.

Back to school

It is back to school and apples are ready to be picked.  Here is a quick and fun project that can decorate your home during the transition to fall and the upcoming holidays.

Kiwi Kiss & Pink Pirouette

Here are 2 of our new colors to inspire your weekend creativity.  Since I don't have the In Colors ink pads, I used Pretty in Pink and Old Olive along with Basic Brown for the stamping.  A new checkbook cover makes me want to go out and use it!  That may not be a good thing, oops!

Gift giving

I love giving gifts, but sometimes wrapping  or packaging a gift is just as fun as giving the gift.  Here is a pop top can that I decorated.  Use a saftey can opener and take the bottom off the can.  Empty the contents and clean out the can.  I filled the can with strips of designer paper crimped, for a fun surprise inside.  Using tacky craft glue, I glued the bottom back on after inserting the gift.
When giving this gift, the reciever will have fun popping the top off to discover the fun inside!

quick update

Remember that I do have a couple of specials running right now.  The discontinued accessories list is out, and selected items are on sale for 25% off retail price.

I have a class scheduled for Saturday, but if the weather leaves us with no power, it will be rescheduled.

I hope to get a whole bunch of stamping done the next couple of days as we stay in and dry from the storm. Lately I have been working on club projects, and I don't often share those here, out of respect for those who signed up for the club, same with most of my class projects.  It is my goal to have several projects and cards to share with you once the storm passes, and we have computer access incase that gets cut off.

Off to finish up a project, have a good week.

Unfrogettable

This set is retiring, and I still love it after several years. I also used a couple of punches, the five petal flower, trimmed for the Lilly pads and the slot punch for the greeting.

New product line

Stampin' Up! has announced a new product line, Decor Elements. This is an exciting line that features and coordinates with our existing products, but on a much larger scale and intended for decorating your home. The self adhesive vinyl is easier to apply than our easy rub ons! An affordable and easy way to change up a room, windows, and more!

The best part is, a selection of this line will be available for purchase beginning July 1st, with the full line being released with the new catalog in August! Contact me for more information, and watch for more details to come.

Sweet

My poor neglected blog. To my regular visitors, I'm sorry. I haven't been stamping much, I have been busy fighting morning sickness, all day. I did finally get a picture taken of a card I received in a swap. Using Sticky Strip to make the stripes of glitter, is a fast and easy way to add glitter to any project.

Inspiration from the idea book

From page 96, I recreated the ribbon project. My 3yo didn't care for it, so I ended up giving it away, but it was fun to make and I like using the wider ribbon from the sherbet collection as the base.

Creative

Admittedly I haven't done much stamping lately. But I have been creative. I made these shirts, no I designed the front of these shirts for my girls. I did actually sew a shirt for myself, I'll include that picture as well. I hope to get back to stamping this weekend, unless it is nice and we spend it outside.
I miss stamping. I will stamp soon. Please come back and check. I do have room for one more person in my pick a petal to go club. Let me know if you are interested.

Punches

This card is fun and fast to do just by using the punches. I love all the things I can do with my spiral punch. I also used the jumbo wheel Whimsy on this project --if you don't have yours, TODAY is the last day of the free wheelin' promo.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Haven't stamped the past few days...finishing up a few other projects --crafty though! Finished a shirt that I was sewing, for myself and I made my own T-shirt shopping bag --which maybe I'll need to stamp. I'll post it if I stamp it, otherwise click HERE to see it. The weather has been perfect, so we have spent most of our days outside, while we can before the misquotes invade and the heat becomes smothering. Check back soon, I'll be stamping and sharing in no time.

Coasting into the weekend

A bit of a play on words but one last project to get your weekend started. Here are some coasters I made, a great gift, coffee table addition, or even create your own back splash when remodeling. Make sure you use pigment, or craft ink and heat set. I added the rub ons after it was heat set.

Happy Bird-Day

I needed a birthday card for my grandparents this week, I guess I could have sent one in my box of cards, but I had my stuff out and made a new one. Plus I haven't had a chance to do too much with this set yet, a perfect opportunity.

It appears that I have done lots of coloring with my markers too. Isn't it funny how we'll go in spurts. I guess I'm all about my markers at the moment. CJ helped choose the bird colors, maybe it is all the time I spend coloring with the girls that I longed for my grown up markers ;)

Hello!

As most of the country is thawing out and enjoying spring, we have been having warm temps, really, about the same as that 1 week of real summer that Grand Forks gets each year. So I was in the mood for some summer cards. Enjoy, I still have glitter everywhere after these two cards.

Earth Day

Recycle your scraps of paper, ribbon or maybe emptied food jars to create a unique gift, that is reusing items you have on hand. Unfortunately, I don't have a project that I have done this with recently to show you, but check back soon and I hope to have one completed.
I told you I have done some stamping, and this is what you get, a week's worth of ideas and projects! I hope you enjoy them, and I have been busy finishing up a few more in spare time (and I don't really have much of that lately).

Here is a quick gift card holder I made for Mother's day. Using Chocolate Chip Pocket Notes and Pun Fun, I quickly colored in using my markers for a personal touch. I have a few more ideas floating around in my head, so keep a look out for more Mother Day creations.

watercoloring

I love to watercolor, I love the way it looks and I love how easy it can be. I made a bunch of cards just using Elegant Eggplant classic ink and an aqua painter. It was fast and is a great way to make a bunch of cards to have on hand.

Sunday, April 20, 2008

Seriously....yes

I did some serious stamping today.
Okay, maybe it wasn't that serious, it was a lot of fun actually.

Friday, April 18, 2008

Rub ons

I like our new rub ons. At first I wasn't sold, then during SAB I chose to get the rub ons to try them out. I love how easy they are to use, how many we get on a sheet and the great element they add to projects. Besides cards, as shown above, you can use them on glass, ribbon, scrapbook pages and more! Another great thing, they don't take up much room when you have to pack up and move your craft room as often as I do, and they don't weigh much.

Five years = Free stuff

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been stamping for about 10 years and a demo with Stampin' Up! for 5...this month! We are busy getting settled into our new home and my husband has gotten me a new shelf and begun organizing my supplies for me. He has deemed me a closet stamper. Actually, he has generously shared "his" closet (the master bedroom closet, as we are using the master bedroom as a computer/stamping room) he has his own bathroom and closet downstairs so not to wake us up on those wee hours of the morning days. However, he seems to think that my stamps will happily get along and stay in the closet along with all my paper, ribbons and other supplies. Honestly, except for my ink pads and a few things we brought with us, my stamps are all still boxed up. We'll see how this all works out ;)

I am going to celebrate my 5 years with SU! throughout this next year and pass on specials to you. In honor of my ink pads that have been found, I will offer a free classic ink pad to each person who places a $50 order (before shipping and tax). This will be a blog site only offer, so mention this post when you place your order to qualify. I will offer this through the month of April.

I really want to stamp...but before I do, I better go find the towels, put together our living room, and fill out paperwork --you know, work before stamp. Come back to see new projects soon!

Too long

It has been too long since I last stamped. No let me rephrase that. I worked really hard on some club projects last week, but that is it. We are moving. In fact, the packers will be here in, gulp, less than 48 hours. I have been busy sorting, packing, organizing, not stamping. I could use a stamping break for sure! Before I get disconnected, let me tell you about some exciting news! First, this month I will reach my 5 year anniversary with Stampin' Up! Wow! have there been changes! I started stamping over 10 years ago, my first project? My wedding invitations! No small task, even if we had a small wedding. I have since made wedding, baby shower, and birthday invitations. Endless amounts of thank you cards have been stamped. I have created table decorations, wall hangings, and scrapbook pages. I love sending out a personal touch and creating unique cards for special people. I am cooking up some special 5 year anniversary ideas. Stay tuned for more information. Once I get a bit settled, find my supplies and get reconnected to the internet I will share the first special.
Here is our invitation, cut apart and in a scrapbook. Embossed on vellum, then colored in the image on the back side. I think the bow was the most difficult part.

Secondly, Sale-A-Bration is quickly coming to an end. If you would like to take advantage of this special offer, please email me ASAP as I will have limited access after Wednesday. SAB ends March 17th.

Also, the Occasions mini catalog is now available to order from. Check out my business website to view it online. http://cyndystampswithyou.stampinup.net

March 18th the hostess special begins, see the side bar for more info.

My "break" time is over. Off to pack clothes for the trip. Wish I was stamping.

Winter

I am back from a winter wonderland vacation...if that is what it is called. I haven't been doing much stamping..since I have been bummin' instead, but I would like to share a couple of projects from my upline. Since this winter has been a snowy one, she has been able to do lots of stamping to keep cabin fever away! Enjoy!

Stamper Spotlight

Welcome to my first stamper spotlight! You are talented, creative and making wonderful projects and I would love to showcase them for you. Appropriately enough, our first stamper used the Reverse Spotlight Technique to make this great valentine card. Bobbie M. is a stamper who took a bit of coaxing to even try stamping. She claimed to not be creative or have any creative skills. Several months later, she attended one of my Christmas card classes, as a way to get out of the house one evening, and she got hooked. Not only did she discover that she has skill, but that she also has creative talent! Fast forward a short 16 months later and she is involved with a monthly swap group, always trying new techniques, has hosted workshops, and only sends out homemade with love and care cards. Leave a comment, letting Bobbie know your thoughts on this beautiful card.

Thank you Bobbie for sharing and being an inspiration to others. Blog candy is on it's way.
If you would like to share your art work, send me a sample, and I'll send you blog candy!

6 X 6 Birthday Card

I had fun, pulling out my jumbo happy birthday wheel and making this card.  I used Soft Sky for the main color and not quite navy for my ink and accent pieces.  With the strips of crimped paper and a clear button, this card is great for anyone having a big birthday, or is just a lot of fun.

Sending you sunshine!

I have had fun dressing these dollar mailboxes up from Target. I decided to not do a theme, so I could keep it out all year...or at least pull it out when I need some sun. I love our Designer Series paper, the tone on tone makes it fun to work with and lots of variety. This project features groovy gauva.

Valentine card

I love to use sets that one might not first consider for a particular use. This card features the Unforgettable Stamp Set, purely pomegranate classic ink and card stock, certainly celery classic ink and card stock, pale plum card stock and whisper white card stock. Soft subtles brads and Rhinestone brads add a simple detail. A blender pen softened and colored in the images.

Tone on tone dragon flies on the certainly celery, adds subtle dimension to the background of this card. A fun and simple card for you to try, standard card size.

Valentine Treat Box

Welcome to my stamping blog! I hope to bring you inspiration and fun. Here is my first project I'm sharing with you.

These cute little treat boxes I found in the wedding aisle at Target. On sale! They are a great size to fit candy, a note, or something special for your Valentine.
Supplies: Time Well Spent Stamp Set
Purely Pomegranate Card Stock and Classic Ink
Blender Pen, Small Tag Punch
For the top I used Purely Pomegranate and the small tag punch. I punched the tag out, turned it around and re punched the bottom of the tag so that it fit nicely on the top. I stamped the flowers on Whisper White Card stock and then colored the image with blender pens to add the color. On the front of the box I did the same, stamping in purely pomegranate and using a blender pen.
I cut an half inch wide piece of purely pomegranate card stock, stamped with the small flower and wrapped it around, placing 2 more flowers with a glue dot to secure in place.
